Today we had 34 kids join us for the Summer Library Program! We made windchimes. Remember, next week is the last Thursday of the program. You need to turn in your reading logs by Next Saturday, July 12th! Then we will see you at the Pizza Party on Saturday July 19th to give out prizes. Great Turnout this year!
The 3rd week of the Summer Library Program: Color Our World we had 33 kids attend! Kady Howard from Smoky Hills PBS visited. The kids read a book, watched a Curious George Video then made rainbows. Each child got to take a book home as well. Thank you Smoky Hills PBS! We will see you next year.
Yesterday, the 2nd week of Color Our World Summer Library Program we had Ashlyn Nightengale, owner of The Country Oven bakery in Marienthal visit. He did a cake decorating demonstration for the 31 kids that we had. The kids then decorated their own sugar cookie. It was fun and delicious! SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!
Yesterday was the first day of the Summer Library Program: Color Our World! We had 33 attendees! We learned some fun facts about artists. We also learned about some famous paintings and drawings. Then we did a group drawing activity. Everyone drew for 2 minutes then passed the paper to the right and drew for another 2 minutes and so on until their original drawing came back to them.
