Head Start will be at the weekly story hour next week to promote all of the programs they provide and answer any questions that the community has. Thursday, August 21st at 10:30 am. Story hour is every week on Thursdays at 10:30 am. See you there!
We want to thank the Community Thrift Shoppe for the very generous donation of $2,000.00 for the 2026 Summer Library Program!! The theme of next year's program is Unearth A Story (Dinosaurs). We will have the best decorations, prizes and program next year thanks to your donation! We are already excited!!
It's a wrap! We had 32 kids complete the 2025 Summer Library Program: Color Our World! All together they read 56,840 minutes or 947.3333 Hours! Our Top reader was Sofia Soto with 14,000 minutes read. Kelly Salinas came in 2nd with 13,180 minutes and Natalie Arrieta came in 3rd with 4,000 minutes. 26 kids earned 10 Wichita Co. Fair tickets. Gina Mazanec's name was picked as the adult program winner. Congratulations to everyone! It was a very busy program but, so much fun. I am so glad we have so many dedicated readers in our community. Next year the theme is Dinosaurs!
We had 28 Summer Library Program kids join us yesterday for the last day of the regular program. They painted their own t-shirt and a banner sheet. Very creative and so much fun! Turn in your reading logs by this Saturday at noon. We will see you next Saturday the 19th at Noon for a pizza party and prizes!
